"You wouldn’t believe where this piece started given where it ended up. I played with it for many months through several iterations. Then, the dragon appeared! It’s one of those paintings that told me what it wanted to be so, I went with it. Once I had the dragon, everything else fell into place. The painting is poignant given that 2024 is the year of the wood dragon! The Wood Dragon's energy is strength, growth, wisdom, and prosperity. I love that the dragon came through as a peaceful dragon not as a fierce dragon. So in addition to the great energy of the dragon, the painting emotes a sense of peace and tranquility."
