My solo show, "Reemergence", closed last weekend. It was an amazing experience and I learned a lot! I met some wonderful folks along the way and am so grateful for the loving kindness everyone showed me and my art.
I wanted to take this opportunity, again, to thank everyone who had a hand in my show. Of course, I have to start with Jacquie Martinez and her team at Assemblage. It was an amazing experience getting to work with them. They are an awesome group of women who are passionate about art and their artists.
Though nothing would have been on the walls if it weren't for Jennifer Rosa at Cardinal Frame and Art in San Marcos and Jerry's Artarama. There were over thirty pieces in the show and every one of them had to be framed. Huge thanks for all the framing help from both of these amazing companies! And though they only played a peripheral roll, big thanks to Precision Camera in Southpark Meadows who helped me purchase a camera so I could take photography of all of the artwork before it sold.
Then there was opening night. Wow! what a crowd. Thank you so much for everyone who came out that evening to see the show. It meant so much to me. I didn't get very many pictures because I was so busy talking to y'all. So, thank you to friends who shared their photographs with me. I had so many interesting conversations and met a lot of folks. Plus I got to hug a lot of people that I have seen, let along hug, in a very long time. It truly was a magical evening.
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. Big thanks to Ron and the kiddos for helping me collect the art from Assemblage that was coming back to the studio. It took two vans to bring all of the art AND all of the people back from the gallery. I'm very blessed to have such a wonderful and supportive family.
There is still plenty of art available at Assemblage to view and purchase - "Lennon", "Tiger", "Austin Icons", and seven Playing in Wonderland pieces stayed behind. And yes, if you saw a piece that you want to make yours that's not at Assemblage, you can purchase directly from me. All of "how to's" of purchasing my art are on my website - https://www.lindachido.com/contact.
So, that's a wrap, my friends. One door closes and many more open!! I have several new projects starting, I'm looking into making prints available, and quite a few new paintings will be coming out of the studio very soon. If you haven't already done so, please SUBSCRIBE to my mailing list to be the first to know when new work drops and to stay abreast of all of the fantastic projects I have brewing.
As always, creatively yours,
~ Linda
